From the 2nd to the 5th of September EYP Cyprus will be welcoming more than 100 students from 15 of the island´s schools to Livadia, a municipality in the Larnaca district, for its 4th National Session. The session receives support from the Cypriot Ministry of Education and Culture.

The picturesque city of Larnaca is located on the southern coast of Cyprus and is famous for its seafront which includes rows of palm trees, known as ´finikoudes´ in the Cypriot dialect.

The event will host a chairs and press team of both Cypriot and international EYP alumni. Officials will take place on the 1st of September. Any alumni interested in attending the event as officials please get in touch with eypcyprus@yahoo.com by the 12th of May.

Deze onafhankelijke organisatie organiseert drie keer per jaar parlementszittingen speciaal voor Europese jongeren tussen de 16 en 22. Het Europees Jeugdparlement (afgekort EYP, van het Engelse 'European Youth Parliament') is hiermee een onderwijsproject dat tot doel heeft om jonge mensen actief te betrekken bij het vormgeven van de maatschappij van hun toekomst.

Het EYP startte in 1987 als project op een school in Fontainebleau, Frankrijk. Inmiddels is het één van de grootste Europese platforms voor politiek debat voor jonge mensen in Europa. Het EYP bestaat uit een internationaal kantoor in Berlijn en een netwerk van 32 nationale comités. Alle medewerkers van de nationale comités zetten zich op vrijwillige basis in.
